What's your FASHION WISH for 2016? // Business Of Fashion Brings Us BoF Education & Fashion Exec Wishes // Enter Sean John Dream Big Contest

Those who truly know me - know how passionate I am about FASHION.

I've meant many people who share a similar passion, but I run into a lot of people who just jump into the fashion scene.... Overnight designers, publicists and trendsetters.

I often tell people to research and actually study fashion.   

If you really love style and trends; learn the history and innovation behind it.

Not to say you can't be successful without much research because many people are successful either way....

Fashion is one of those things where all you need is to be extremely creative, have a great idea, know-someone-who-knows -someone or just be in the right place at the right time.

You can sink or swim, or ride the wave; having success that goes up and downhill.

Although economic finances often affect the success of a fashion business, those who have great style can make it work with little-to-no finances.

I get annoyed at people who believe; fashion is about designer brands or what's currently trending.  

Ofcourse those things play huge roles in the fashion world, but if you're truly fashionable, you can create an awesome look at a thrift shop.

I say all this to say, I'm not an expert on fashion history, but I do keep my eyes out for fashion news and moves.

I follow lots of blogs and magazines and conduct my own personal research.  Always have.

One of my favorite fashion blogs is Business Of Fashion which has grown tremendously over the last few years.

I love that BoF Editor and Chief Imran Ahmed, is so dedicated to his readers, he now incorporates free fashion education videos to assist those interested, on a fashion journey....

So I thought, I'll start this year 2016 off with a toast to Fashion Success and beyond.
